Our Commitment to Accessibility

TradeitUp is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for all users, including apprentices, employers, TAFE staff, and administrators with disabilities. We believe that everyone should have equal access to our apprenticeship management platform, regardless of their abilities or the technologies they use.

We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards to ensure our platform is accessible to all users.

Standards Compliance

TradeitUp aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA standard. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities and more usable for everyone.

Our platform is designed to be compatible with assistive technologies and follows best practices for accessible web development.

Accessibility Features

We have implemented the following features to enhance accessibility:

• Keyboard navigation support throughout the platform
• Proper heading hierarchy for screen reader users
• Alternative text for all meaningful images and icons
• ARIA labels and landmarks for enhanced screen reader support
• Sufficient color contrast ratios (minimum 4.5:1 for normal text)

Assistive Technology Compatibility

TradeitUp is designed to be compatible with the following assistive technologies:

• Screen magnification software
• Speech recognition software
• Keyboard-only navigation
• Browser zoom functionality (up to 200%)

We test our platform regularly with modern browsers including Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge, in combination with commonly used assistive technologies.

Known Limitations and Issues

Despite our best efforts to ensure accessibility, there may be some limitations. We are actively working to address the following known issues:

• Some PDF documents may not be fully accessible - we are working to remediate these
• Certain third-party integrations may have accessibility limitations
• Some complex data visualizations are being enhanced for better screen reader support
